What is PetPool?
PetPool is a social platform for pet owners, pet service providers, and pet businesses. Owners keep pet profiles and post. Providers and businesses list services. People book, pay, review, message, and join events, contests, and adoption drives.
Who can join?
Pet owners, independent service providers, and pet businesses. Owners sign up first and then create pet profiles. Providers and businesses create a profile and list services such as grooming, walking, sitting, veterinary care, and training.
How do accounts and pet profiles work?
Create an account with email or a social sign-in. The account comes first. After that, you add one or more pet profiles with the pet’s name, breed, age, and photos.
How do bookings and payments work?
You book a listed service in PetPool. The charge is in USD and is processed by Stripe. PetPool does not store your full card number. You can review the service after the booking.
What is the booking refund rule?
Cancel 24 hours or more before the booking starts and the refund is 100%. Cancel less than 24 hours before the booking starts and the refund is 50%. After the booking has started, the refund is none. If the provider cancels the booking, the customer is refunded 100%. Booking prices and these refunds are in USD.
What is Green Tick?
Green Tick is the only badge on PetPool. It is a subscription for pets and for businesses. Green Tick is not a license, a safety certification, or a promise that a pet or business is the best choice.
How much does Green Tick cost?
Green Tick is $10 USD/month or $100 USD/year. Monthly and yearly are two ways to pay for the same Green Tick. The perks are the same. Save $20 USD compared with twelve monthly payments.
When does a pet’s Green Tick show?
Pets get the Green Tick as soon as they subscribe. Pets do not go through that verification check.
When does a business, provider, or agency’s Green Tick show?
Businesses, service providers, and agencies (adoption/rescue, pet-sitting, dog-walking, grooming, training, staffing) pass a quick verification before their Green Tick shows. That check is the business name plus an ID or license photo. Until the check is approved, the tick stays hidden. A listing does not require the badge.
What does Green Tick include?
Green Tick includes boosted placement in search and the marketplace, featured marketplace spots, and profile stats.
Where do I subscribe to Green Tick?
On iPhone and Android, Green Tick is sold through in-app purchase on the App Store and Google Play. On desktop web, you subscribe in the PetPool web app.
Where is PetPool available?
PetPool is available on iPhone, Android, and desktop web. The App Store and Google Play buttons on this site are marked coming soon until those listings are live. Use Open web app for the desktop web app.
How do I delete my account?
Email petpooltechnologies@gmail.com from the email on your account with the subject “Delete my PetPool account”. The account deletion page lists what is deleted, what may be kept, and how long it takes. If you subscribed to Green Tick on iPhone or Android, also cancel that subscription in the App Store or Google Play.
Safety & animal welfare
PetPool has a dedicated Report animal abuse tool in the app. Reports are reviewed by the PetPool team. If an animal is in immediate danger, contact local animal control, a humane society, or police (911 in Canada and the US).
