Green Tick Subscription Terms

The only badge

Green Tick is the only badge on PetPool.

These terms cover the Green Tick subscription for pets and for businesses, service providers, and agencies. They are part of the Terms of Service.

Price

Green Tick is $10 USD/month or $100 USD/year.

Monthly and yearly are two ways to pay for the same Green Tick. The perks are the same.

Save $20 USD compared with twelve monthly payments.

Prices are in US dollars and may not include tax. On the App Store and Google Play, the store may show the price in local currency and add tax.

Pets

Pets get the Green Tick as soon as they subscribe.

Pets do not go through that verification check.

An owner needs an account first, then a pet profile. The owner subscribes for that pet. The tick shows on the pet when the subscription is active.

Businesses, service providers, and agencies

Businesses, service providers, and agencies (adoption/rescue, pet-sitting, dog-walking, grooming, training, staffing) pass a quick verification before their Green Tick shows.

That check is the business name plus an ID or license photo.

Until the check is approved, a business, service provider, or agency can still have a profile and listings. The tick itself stays hidden. Green Tick is not required to join PetPool or to list a service.

Perks

Green Tick includes boosted placement in search and the marketplace, featured marketplace spots, and profile stats.

The monthly plan and the yearly plan include the same perks.

Where you subscribe

On iPhone and Android, Green Tick is sold through in-app purchase on the App Store and Google Play. On desktop web, you subscribe in the PetPool web app.

The store price on iPhone or Android is an in-app purchase. Do not try to buy a mobile Green Tick outside the store. Apple’s and Google’s payment rules apply to those purchases, including how you cancel them.

Renewal and cancellation

A subscription renews for the same period, month or year, until you cancel. Cancel at least a day before renewal if you do not want the next charge.

On iPhone, cancel in your Apple ID subscriptions. On Android, cancel in Google Play subscriptions. On the web app, cancel from your PetPool account.

Deleting a PetPool account does not, by itself, cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel that subscription in the store as well, or the store may keep billing.

Refunds

App Store and Google Play refunds follow Apple’s and Google’s rules. Ask the store that billed you.

On the web, you can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops the next renewal. The current month or year is not refunded once the tick has been shown, except where the law requires a refund.

If we decline a verification check for a business, service provider, or agency, the tick is not shown and we refund that period’s subscription fee.

What the badge is not

Green Tick is not a license, a safety certification, or a promise that a pet or business is the best choice.

We can hide a tick if the subscription lapses, if a verification photo was misleading, or if the account breaks the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

Changes

We may change the price or perks for future periods. We will post the change on the Green Tick page before it applies to a renewal. The current period keeps the price you already paid.
