Who we are

PetPool Technologies is a sole proprietorship operated by Tony Adieze, 4 Summer Wind Lane, Brampton, Ontario L7A 5J2, Canada. In these documents, “PetPool”, “we”, and “us” mean PetPool Technologies.

These terms govern the PetPool apps for iPhone and Android and the PetPool website and desktop web app at https://mypetpools.com.

The service

PetPool is a social platform for pet owners, pet service providers, and pet businesses. Owners sign up first, then create pet profiles. People can post, use a service marketplace, book and review services, join events, contests, and adoption drives, send messages, and receive notifications.

Marketplace categories include groomers, walkers, sitters, vets, and trainers. Booking payments are processed by Stripe.

Accounts and pet profiles

Create an account with accurate information. An owner account comes first. Pet profiles are created after that, by the account holder, and can include the pet’s name, breed, age, and photos.

You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share your sign-in in a way that lets someone else pretend to be you.

The marketplace

Providers and businesses are independent of PetPool. A booking is an agreement between the customer and the provider. PetPool provides the profile, the listing, booking tools, messaging, and payment processing through Stripe.

Listings must describe the real service. Reviews must describe a real experience. We may remove a listing, review, or account that breaks these terms or the community guidelines.

Payments and refunds

Customers pay booking charges in USD through Stripe. PetPool does not store full card numbers.

Cancel 24 hours or more before the booking starts and the refund is 100%.

Cancel less than 24 hours before the booking starts and the refund is 50%.

After the booking has started, the refund is none.

If the provider cancels the booking, the customer is refunded 100%.

Green Tick

Green Tick is the only badge on PetPool.

Green Tick is $10 USD/month or $100 USD/year. Pets get the Green Tick as soon as they subscribe. Businesses, service providers, and agencies (adoption/rescue, pet-sitting, dog-walking, grooming, training, staffing) pass a quick verification before their Green Tick shows. That check is the business name plus an ID or license photo.

Events, contests, and adoption

Events, contests, and adoption drives are community features. Contest hosts must follow the Contest rules. Adoption posts are covered by the Adoption disclaimer. PetPool is not a shelter and is not a party to an adoption.

Acceptable use

Follow the Community Guidelines. Do not misuse the service, scrape it in a way that harms it, attempt to break into accounts, or use it to harm animals or people.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, posts, and other material you submit. You give PetPool a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that material as needed to run the service, including showing it to people you share it with.

That license ends when you delete the material or your account, except for copies we must keep for the reasons in the Privacy Policy, and except for material other people have already lawfully received, such as a message in their inbox.

Ending your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. The steps are on the account deletion page. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, creates risk for people or animals, or is required by law.

Disclaimers

PetPool is a platform. Posts, messages, and listings are not veterinary advice and are not a substitute for urgent care. We do not guarantee that a provider is licensed, available, or suitable, including a provider with a Green Tick.

The apps and website are provided as available. We work toward a reliable service. We do not promise uninterrupted access.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, PetPool is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts of other users and providers. Our total liability arising out of the service in a 12-month period is limited to the greater of 100 USD or the amount you paid to PetPool for Green Tick in that period.

Some places do not allow certain limits. If that is the law where you live, the limits apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you cannot waive, including rights under consumer protection law in Ontario.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.
